Yea it has been forever since i was last on here i know! but so much has been going on in my life both good and a little bad but there are a few huge things. like learning finally how to spin. yay!
Which means by wool and spinning fiber stash has grown and i am not trying to sell a lot of that as well as my crochet items. i wish i had more time to chat but sorry have to run to clean more of the fleece i just got.

Erraven's Addiction
My heart sinks but i do not let the tears show, do not let my gaurd down. The pain that should not be their stabs threw my heart and soon i am i mess. I should have none better then to dream, then to hope. but i do not let it show i lie and fake my way threw to the other side.
Oh well i'll just keep my head down, my dreams closed, my heart locked away now as i throw myself into my work again.

Stash Monster
Is it something about me or is it every knitting/crocheting crazy person that has the huge stashes. Oh that stash monster has me in it's grips and wont let go. But i must admit not all the yarn is just mine and i did not buy it all. Though i am guilty of adding to it.
The stash monster i am now sitting in the middle of does not look to bad... that is until you count. I have over 200 different skeins of yarn. Yes i said over 200 because i have not done a count in some times. How did i get this much. Well most is thanks to my grandmother who i love dearly. She is why i started to knit. I saw her doing it at around 9-10 years old and wanted to do it to. Sadly she lived to far away to learn from her but another elder woman in my church was happy to teach me and my younger sister to knit.
But over time i lost interest and even when we went up to my grandmothers and helped her redo a room, her yarn room, none the less. She had bags... I MEAN BAGS. like garbage bags of unwanted yarn and we gladly took them and stored it not to see the light of day.
That was until i took up crocheting and needed the yarn. I blew the dust off the boxes and brought down four large totes of yarn cracked it open to find.... Some very interesting things. some yarns i think are older then me or my mother. Even ravelry has a hard time finding the yarn. But also newer ones that are now discontinued but look so beautiful it breaks my heart i can not buy more.
So yes I do have a lot of yarn, but even worse i can not help but make a weekly trip, when fam is out grocery shopping i go to the craft stores. walking around getting lost in colors, and feel of yarns. Fighting with my inter self not to add another skein to my growing stash but the idea of having a new color or brand, or feel to my stash brings me so much joy I just have to pick it up and put it in my basket.
Will this need ever stop... do I want it to stop... maybe not maybe deep down I am very proud of all my yarn and having the ability to just walk up stairs and get what ever my heart wants.

Erraven's Addiction - Whats going on
been a while since i posted and that is do to the crazyness going on here. I got my spinning wheel and Carders the middle of last week and so have been going mad over learning both new skills and it is so fun. I am suprised how carding is so much fun and i coulf spend all day dying wool, carding it and seeing what comes out. But in teh futer I might like spinning more.
Over that I made a baby blanket that should be in the store as soon as i make a few last touches. I am getting my stash all out and neatly put into a spot. Also winding up balls into cakes and snippets and ends. Maybe they too will end up in my shop. The tangled messes beyond repair are being cut down into flowers to be sold or used.
What else, oh yea and i am making three scarfs for mothers day two for my BF's mother and step mother and one for my own mother.
I got a lovely shipment of hand made soap off of etsy and once i can type it here i will be. I can never remember how to spell it off the top of my head but the soaps are amazing like always.
I got an order for some older supplies i was selling and shipped them out only to have another made to order go out on my hanging stork pouch - photo prop today. Stitches and Bitches was tonight and that is always a lot of fun. Watched my sister who likes the knitting more then crocheting learn to make socks and got to talk to a very cool lady who owns a whole stuidio of weaving looms, and spinning wheels just down the street from me. She was so nice teaching my sister to knit socks like she did.
Thats about it I am planing once my brother comes down and makes my lil pinkie all pretty to post pics and have a contest to pick a name for him. Crossing fingers.
OH and thursday get to go watch some sheep be sheared ^^ to later by their raw wool and hopefully sell in my shop. Hopping to talk more with this woman and try and learn a lot from her so one day I too can own sheep.

OMG
So it has been a week and though i am no longer fighting with this green dot i am now fighting with paypal over more info needed it has already been a week and they keep yanking my chain. fingers crossed that everything goes right this time.
But in lighter new i am working hard on tons of projects and goals i have for myself. after joining a weekly group i have to finish a baby throw blanket today. and work on a surprise for my BF ^^ and maybe get around to the hat for his friend though hopping to hold off so i can give it to him in person so i wont have to charge or lose money.
I also should be getting my wheel any day now fingers crossed i get it soon. Though i need to take a trip to walmart or lowes for some paints. Wish i had time for a pole on what to pant it but oh well i'll think something up for him. Yes him i will be having a pole when he comes in for the name of the wheel but not till he is painted.

Bluh
Why... Why does bad days get worse? Today started out amazing i went to a fiber guild for the first time and had a wonderful time. I was on a high having been able to talk with others who did not bat an eye in includding me and being nice and being able to talk to others who injoyed things i did.
then i came home and was supost to be able to get money into my paypal account and bye my babe wheel. But instead i spent four hours fighting with green dot money pack and still do not fully have the money at my ready to buy my spinning wheel.
What would make it better i thought to talk to my bf about maybe him coming to meet me for the first time a bit sooner... only he acted like it was impossibale even after i offered to pay half his way down. Oh well i thought maybe i was being pushy that was until i just finished talking to him and the night he promised me he is now spending hosting a party with his friends.
I try not to be to needy i try not to be clingy and over bearing but when you promise me something then keep that promise. I don't know any more why does it seem one bad day becomes an even worse one like this... and today was to be my wonder day. the day everything went right.... oh well i will try to see the good in this too... but it is hard to right now.

Erraven's Addiction - Spinning
So after days of thinking i want just hand carders when my taxs come in, yes i have taxes coming back wooo hooo (it my first time) So I thought why not get a spinning wheel as well. And so i found and fell in love with the idea of the babe's Pinky from Woolery.
WHy get this ugly cheap item you ask? well here are the pros:
It is cheap so if i do not like it i can sell it and try again with lil money lost
i can paint it and decorate it how every i like and i .love being different

it comes with three bobins, two lazy katies, and some roving
i asked around and it is not a bad spindle.
it is light and come with me when i go to spinning groups which i will be going to my first on saturday.
Basicly it was what i am looking for in my first spindle but as i get money this summer from my job i am sure i will be getting more... lol

Erraven's Addiction - Roving
The other week I bought 8 ounces of wool/alpaca mix pencil roving in hopes that i could spin this roving better then i had with other roving on my now beloved drop spindle and i went on last night to spin close to four ounces in one go. But not all of it so i thought with the little left over i would try dying it. But how would i dye it wait to go to the store in the morning for pro dying kits. Nope I did not want the hassle instead i spent a bit looking around on the net till i knew enough to try Kool Aid dying. it is safer then pro dying and easy on you and your wallet now yes i go not have the bright screaming colors but it was so much fun and still so pretty i will not use anything else i think.
For only a few bucks i can dye pounds of roving probably though the two i am working on and the one i did only cost about 50-75 cents each to dye. I used purple, raspberry red, and orange along with some viniger and old cool wipe containers. It takes about 6-7 hours probably from start to finish since it takes time to dry out the roving but i had so much fun so keep an eye out for either the roving, the yarn or items i make with my new hobby.
Next on my list to learn, carding wool, soap making, sowing. ^^ with prayers and grit I can do anything.

Erraven's Addiction - Whats going on
So i have not wrote in a day since i was busy making the baby blanket, washcloths, and baby booties. all of them so cute and i was loving the color but that could not help the mood i need to now vent out and writing has always been where i did it.
Few out side of my friends and family know that my boyfriend who is super amazing and suportive in everything i do. he being the reason i do the things i do most the time. i meet online. i know how odd and strange but it was all by chance and we were friends before he asked.
But today i just got to the end i, this being the first bf i have had for real, want that other person now the dates, and kisses, the sweet things so many take for granted. that many forget should mean the world from the sweet simple word to the hugs every moment to someone who can have that should always mean everything to them. when it does not think of all the people who can't do that with their loved one.

Erraven's Addiction - Whats going on
So hello to everyone after a very trying day yesterday i am doing good and feeling high on life. Yesteday everything was going wrong from taking apart my blanket to my dog destroying my yarn. But it is all good now and i am pushing forwards with all my new ideas of washcloths and blankets among scarves and other such items that i need to buckle down and make i need 60 items by aguest and god be with me to get them done.

So not much is happening here, just still working on my scarf and my pink baby blanket but i did how ever think up the idea of entering a ton of things in this years fair. as far as i can see from last year i am with my age able to enter both young and adult items for crochet. young has two things i can enter, afghan and other which is not hard for me seeing as i always have items laying around the house but the adult has like a few hundred sub catigories and so i can enter i think everything i feel i can do well in from my amigurumi to other sized afghans, hats and scarfs before i take the items and sell them on my site. someone might just buy an award winning items.

Hi everyone again. Seeing as i have a bit more time today thought i would get on and say hello to everyone and also that the item i made, the photo props came out amazing. http://posephotoco.com/?p=948 this is the site where the first, teaser pics are up of a lil boy being the first one in my baby cocoon that i made. is it not the most wonderful thing you saw! I am waiting to see all of them and how they turned out before i ask how i can get copys onto my comp to use for my selling of the item.
Also a great new idea i came up with is every friday or saturday i am going to spend at a coffee shop with my crocheting, i am going to take along extra yarn and a hook just in case. As i work on what ever i am working on at the time. I should work a lil on my sisters scarf... so i guess i have to go then oh well talk more later.

Erraven's Addiction - Whats going on
Sorry for all the very slow reply's lately it seems like i have a ton of time but at the same time none at all. God has been so good as to let me always have someone wanting an item from me. From my first sales, (my mom and lil siblings) to a friend needing a hat for her to be adopted nephew, my sister wanting a scarf, a custom order over etsy, trades, or even the latest one two, yes two custom orders from a long time family friend who wanted photo props for her biz! I just finished them and that was what i was busy doing and so not on here. I out did myself making two custom items with a color she wanted, and I did not use a pattern. I did them with in 48 hours since today she had a newborn photo session and I was able to get them to her in time.
I was so proud of my self though i was a bit scared that there would be something wrong with them and that she would not be happy but at this point she said they worked great and since she loved them so much i am aloud to use the pics when i sell these items on my etsy. I am so happy and the moment i have my sisters scarf done I as always have so many things to do:

and the item i am glad of is the best I am making a baby blanket. With a mix of pattern i had seen and my own add ins. I am itching to start on it but will have wait. Erraven's Addiction - Whats going on
sorry it has been so long but i just got done with a custom horse and making 56 flowers for two other trade orders not to say i am also learning to spin now that i now own my very own drop spindle. But got it today and did more dropping then anything else >.< oh well but that gave me an idea if i get ten people to friend my blog i will be doing two things in one. Here is my idea
I have two main things i use and love now. My custom made crochet hook and my new drop spindle. I figured by whole business rest with these two items why not give them a little more... that and i am crazy about naming all the things i use a lot. So when or if i get ten fallowers I will have a naming contest. Anyone who can name both my hook (a girl) and my spindle (boy) with names i like, looking for different out of the norm (pics will be sent out at the time this starts. half off any item they like in my store so please tell friends to fallow me ^^.

I have been working on the custom horses almost done only need to attach it's legs but i have also devided my time setting up plans for a dragon amigurumi, baby blankets, new baby/baby shower gift baskets, and some other small ideas to add to the shop.

Hello again to everyone, like most sundays i spent my day in church which was awesome, we had a guest speaker and i liked it so much i went back this evening to see him again. While at church i had fun working on some gloves and a shawl i am starting and will be for sale when i am fully finished with them. i am working on the horses but taking my time with it as i not only make a duplicate but i am making a better version of my CandyBeat. Day number two of blog, ^^ I have been thinking about what I will be posting here if i should upload my photos and all or if i should link my shop to here but i figured first i would post a bit of my ideas and goals. My goals are to make enough money to keep buying supplies for my shop simple enough and if i really make money help out my parents.
